Athenian Tetradrachm: a New Type of Imitation

Göttinger Miszellen. 2022. Hft. 268. S. 13–15.

The paper is devoted to a new type of coins imitating Athenian tetrardachm. It is a group of coins with the udjat-eye as an additional symbol, originated from Palestine. Two coins (for sale and in the author’s collection), both probably from Egypt, have the hieroglyph “eye”, which hardly be interpreted as udjat. A new type is discussed.
